Vladimir KOROTENKO is coordinator
of the educational and publishing programs of the youth ecological movement 'BIOM'
and was recently chief of the project 'Network of ecological organizations of
Kyrgyzstan'. From 1997-1998, he participated in a commission on ecological
education in Kyrgyzstan and was responsible for the development and realization
of a training program on ecological policy for youth leaders. In 1995-1996, he
taught biology at ILIM, an educational complex.
From 1991-1996, he studied biology (ecology and genetics) at Kyrgyz State
National University. From 1996-1999, he was a postgraduate student at the
Institute of Philosophy and Law of the National Academy of Sciences, Kyrgyzstan,
working on the genesis of ecological consciousness.
