Victoria ANTONIU is preparing for
a new carrier in environmental auditing while working within the Print
Management Department at Resolve Corporation in Toronto, Canada. Also she is a
proud mother of two wonderful boys.
During the fall of 2002 Victoria was accepted to provide administrative support
and conduct constituency casework at Toronto City Hall, the Office of Jack
Layton, City Councillor - currently Leader of the New Democratic Party of
Canada.
Until 2002 Victoria was the Director of the Local Government Program at the
Soros Foundation - Moldova. Also, Victoria consulted the environmental programs
and projects promoted and funded by the Foundation. Her responsibilities
included program development and administration; strategic planning and
evaluation; budgeting and financial administration; public relations and
consulting; organization of annual summer schools, trainings, conferences and
seminars; organization of Local Government Board Meetings.
In 1998, Victoria was responsible for the elaboration of the first Local Agenda
21 in Moldova under a Tacis funded project. She also has been involved in the
development of mechanisms and procedures for environmental impact assessment at
the World Bank Social Investment Fund of Moldova.
Victoria Antoniu holds a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences and Policy
from the Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. Her Diploma in
Biology is from the State University of Moldova in Chisinau, Republic of
Moldova.
